The Atrium redevelopment at Box Hill Institute Elgar Campus transformed a dim, underutilised space between Buildings B3 and B4 into a vibrant gateway to the campus.

Drawing inspiration from the nearby parkland, biophilic design principles were thoughtfully incorporated to connect the building to its natural surroundings. Nature-inspired materials and design strategies were carefully integrated to promote wellbeing while creating a calming, inviting atmosphere.

The Atrium evolved from a cold, noisy space into a welcoming indoor destination – designed to foster connection, relaxation, and a true sense of place.
