Brand Architects recently delivered the Monash Innovation Labs project for Monash University, located at the university’s Clayton campus. The new precinct will support startups and entrepreneurs in the manufacturing sector with the provision of state-of-the-art facilities and labs and dedicated space for students and industry to co-locate on campus.

The Monash Innovation Labs will facilitate collaboration and innovation by enabling interactions between students and industry partners. Two of the feature spaces of the new Monash Innovation Labs are the UpLink and CoLab.

UpLink is the central spine linking all components of the precinct. A hive of activity, where industry partners, start-ups and students gather to transform into the industry, business and workforce of the future. It also houses the ‘Digital Twin Lab’; a test-bed for Industry to design for manufacture – for designing, testing and prototyping manufacturing processes.

CoLab is a highly collaborative space enabling fully monitored manufacturing and data driven workflows. It enables students and industry to develop the skills and efficiency to deliver smart, competitive manufacturing.
