In partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Training, the City of Melton has delivered a vibrant community hub in the suburb of Kurunjang.
This shared use facility, aimed at strengthening Community-School-Council relationships, delivers a range of services, activities and programs that respond to community need and interest.
The centre is located next to Kurunjang Primary School and boasts a large teaching kitchen, classroom and edible garden for learning activities and programs.
The Hub’s focus is on healthy living curriculum and community education and courses. It aims to align school curriculum with home life experiences, ie. Parents experience what their children are learning.
The centre also has two community rooms, a meeting space, community kitchen and café available to accommodate a variety of community groups and service providers, as well as a Social Enterprise Café and gathering space.
