Stage 3 continues the transformation of St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School on Bunurong Country, delivering a new modular, two‑storey learning building designed to support continued enrolment growth while strengthening the school’s sense of place and community.

The building provides eight General Learning Areas (GLAs), along with small group rooms, staff amenities and new student toilet facilities. These flexible, purpose‑built spaces support a range of teaching and learning approaches, offering light‑filled environments that promote collaboration, focus and wellbeing for students and educators alike.

The building also incorporates a bespoke artwork by a local First Nations artist, embedded within the façade. Translated into perforated panels, the artwork creates shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day, gently connecting the learning spaces to Country and landscape. The design reflects the virtues of St Agatha (strength, resilience and triumph) and includes subtle references to the building’s architectural form. More than a visual element, the artwork contributes to everyday learning, supporting cultural understanding and respect for Country in a way that is integrated, approachable and meaningful.

Stage 3 builds on the success of the earlier stages, combining efficient modular delivery with thoughtful design to create flexible learning environments that foster growth, belonging and connection.
