Adding to the existing amenities for a number of sporting clubs is a new pavilion building protruding out towards the road with its dramatic green form, defining the entrance to the facility. The existing clubrooms were in need of an upgrade, so a new building was constructed to meet the growing needs of the local sporting community. The new pavilion provides a progressive aesthetic for the clubs with easy access from street level and the upgraded carpark. Large glazed lift-up doors extend the internal function space out into the landscape, with views onto the existing soccer fields. A recent playground upgrade adjacent the site adds to the reserve’s appeal and improves safety for its users. The bold colour scheme which references the local soccer club colours, adds excitement to the uninspiring existing brown brick building and aims to attract more players and spectators alike. State of the art kitchen/canteen facilities servicing the internal function space and outdoor spectator areas allows for catering of hot and cold foods and drinks, a significant improvement on what was previously on offer.
