The Bacchus Marsh All-Abilities Adventure Playground was initiated as part of Moorabool Shire Council’s broader vision to develop the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse and Recreation Reserve (BMRRR) into a premier community, sporting and recreation precinct. This initiative aligns with local, regional, and state planning strategies, responding to the needs of a rapidly growing population and addressing critical shortages in active sports facilities.
Designed in collaboration with Moorabool Shire Council and Ochre Landscape, the playground fosters inclusivity, active play, and social connection, and is designed for all ages and abilities, integrating natural materials, sensory-rich play, and diverse gathering spaces.
